HBC Food Pantry

The purpose of our ministry is to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of men, women and children of all ethnic, religious and social backgrounds. [Matthew 25:34-40] Jesus teaches us that we need to meet the physical needs of people and in doing so we fulfill His will and His ministry of love. However, if we just meet the physical need, then we have failed miserably. We need food to survive but the ultimate need is salvation through the Blood of the Lamb: Jesus.

The Hebron Community Food Pantry is a partner with the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank and serves the community South of Interstate 12, West of Walker South Road and East of 4H Club Road in Denham Springs. We also serve French Settlement and Maurepas.

Our Food Pantry location is the Fellowship Hall. Please call our office for more information.
Open the First Wednesday of each Month from 10:00 am until 11:30 am

Applicants must have the following for eligibility verification:

  1. An applicant must meet the US Government Poverty Income Guidelines. Proof of Income is required for all members of the household. If you receive SNAP (Food Stamps), SSI or TANF you automatically qualify but you must provide current documentation of your benefits. Example: The most recent letter that you received from the State Of LA
  2. A picture ID with your name on it.
  3. A current utility bill, statement or official document with the applicant’s name and address if different than the picture ID may be accepted. Phone bills cannot be accepted.
Only one applicant per household may receive food at any one GBRFB participating food pantry per month. Duplicate services are not permitted from any participating GBRFB food pantry. Example: Care Center, Hebron Baptist Church or the Family Resource Center.

“Open your hand to the needy.” Deut. 15:11
